Dedham Police Log: Credit Card Fraud, Vehicle Break-in and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

 

Wednesday, Mar. 13

(4:57 p.m.) According to police reports, there was a shoplifter at a supermarket on Providence Highway. Loss Prevention stated that the suspect has been shoplifting from their store over the last few weeks. When police arrived on the scene, the suspect fled towards the West Roxbury line. Dedham Police searched the area with negative results.

(5:59 p.m.) A resident walked into the police station to report credit card fraud. She reported to police that she left her credit card at a store. Later on she received a phone call from the credit card company asking about the number of purchased. There were 37 purchases made that totaled $1969.50. The report was forwarded to Detective Porro.

(10:00 a.m.) According to reports, a car was broken into on Beech Street and some property was taken. The owner of the vehicle told Dedham Police that she did leave her car unlocked. A report was filed.
