Dedham Police Investigating Blue Hill Bank Robbery

The robbery involved a knife and took place Thursday afternoon.

Dedham Police is actively seeking information related to a robbery at the Blue Hill Bank on Providence Highway/Rte. 1 in Dedham on Thursday. 

The incident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. Thursday, and in a statement Friday morning, Dedham Police said that current information indicates a Hispanic male entered the bank and brandished a knife.

"The male exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a vehicle," the statement reads. "Any persons with any information related to this crime are urged to contact the Dedham Police Department Detective Bureau at 781-751-9300."

This is the second time in two months the Blue Hills Bank has been robbed; .

Meanwhile, investigations related to the Dedham Savings robbery on Oct. 10 and the Citizens Bank robbery on Oct. 2 have resulted in the issuance of arrest warrants for suspects in both crimes, Dedham Police said.
