A 58-year-old Dedham man suffered possible neck and back injuries when he crashed his car into a vacant storefront at 66 Milton St. Tuesday at around 8:30 a.m.
The man, driving a black Scion xB, turned right from the Mother Brook Condominiums onto Milton Street, heading westbound, authorities said.
According to authorities, the man, who has a physical disability, hit the gas instead of his brake, causing him to strike a pick-up truck heading eastbound on Milton Street. The man then sped about 150 feet into 66 Milton St, a vacant blue building.
The car's airbag deployed, but the man's head hit the windshield, officials said.
He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
