Dedham Man Charged with Robbing Hess Station

A Dedham man was caught by Dedham Police quickly today after allegedly robbing a on Washington Street in West Roxbury.
James Micarelli, 27, of Dedham, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Around 3:11 p.m., the suspect's description, "a white male in his early 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants" was broadcasted.
Gas station employees stated the suspect entered the store, passed a note stating he had a firearm, demanding money and then fled the store, according to BPDnews.com.

An officer performing a paid detail, as well Dedham Police officers were able to stop the suspect just over the border after hearing the description of the suspect. Officers conducted a pat frisk of the suspect for weapons, but found nothing.
But while frisking the suspect, officers saw "in plain view what appeared to be large amounts of loose cash protruding from the suspect’s pockets." The suspect told police he had just gotten paid.
