Police Connect Teens to Avery School Vandalism

Police are seeking complaints against two youths for spray painting the construction site at the school in December.

The has sought complaints for tresspassing and tagging against two 15-year-old Dedham males in connection with construction site last month.

The youths are to appear at Juvenile Court at a later date to be determined, according to Dedham Police Lt. Robert Nedder.

"There is an ongoing investigation regarding more parties that may be involved in the incident," Nedder said, though he would not disclose how many parties might be involved, as the investigation remains active.

The development comes about a month after Dedham Police began working with school and town officials to investigate  at the Avery School.

Several areas of the site were vandalized, and officials estimated that as many as 20 spray paint markings were put on fences, sidewalks and playground equipment.

Todd McCabe, of Consigli Construction, said last month that crews might have to replace some of the material that was damaged, due to the type of paint used and the type of surface it was on.
