UPDATED: Car Fire Shuts Down Rt. 128 in Westwood; One Lane Re-Open

One southbound travel lane has been re-opened in the area of the Westwood rollover and car fire, according to Mass State Police.

A section of Rt. 128 south in Westwood is shut down after a single-vehicle crash and car fire. 

The section of highway shut down is between exits 15 and 16, from Route 109 to Route 1, Massachusetts State Police said via twitter, adding that motorists should expect delays in the area. 

The fire is out, and the Westwood and Dedham fire departments are on the scene, MSP tweeted. 

Tweets about the incident began around 9:15 p.m. Friday night, some of which indicated the rollover came after a possible pursuit and that an occupant of the vehicle had to be extricated. 

At 9:19 p.m., for instance, Twitter user @MipMedic6 tweeted "Vehicle pursuit Westwood Ma- rt128 SB - vehicle had rolled and is on fire - request FD- MSP en route."
