Bus-Car Accident in Dedham Sends 6 to Hospital

A Jeep Grand Cherokee ran into the side of a MBTA bus Tuesday afternoon.

A green Jeep Grand Cherokee hit into the side of a MBTA bus Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at an intersection within the Dedham Mall, authorities say.

The driver of the Jeep and five bus riders were sent to the hospital. Although no serious injuries were sustained, Dedham Fire Department Deputy William Spillane said most complained of neck and back pain.

Spillane said the intersection was near the gas station.

Transit police cited the 19-year-old driver of the Jeep for failure to stop, Rivera said.
