The Brim Beanie Bandit, a serial bank robber who has hit a number of local banks in the area, struck again Friday morning, this time targeting the Dedham Savings Bank on Elm Street in Dedham, according to Boston.com.
Friday's robbery marked the bandit's sixth successful robbery in the past month, having recently struck such local areas as Stoughton, Braintree and Needham.
The man is described as being a white man in his late 40s or early 50s with a height of 5 feet, 7 inches and weighing about 150 pounds.
The bandit's name derives from a beanie-style winter hat with a brim he has worn during each robbery, according to the report. He's also been described as wearing a dark sweatshirt or jacket, black pants, black gloves and dark boots.
