UPDATE: No Visible Fire Left at Stony Brook Reservation

Another brush fire ignited in same area as yesterday.

UPDATE:  Many firefighters have cleared the scene as no fire is visible , according to Boston Fire officials.


As of 11 a.m. the response team at the brush fire has been downsized and fresh companies were brought in to continue to wash down the area, according to the BFD

For the fourth day in a row, Boston Firefighters are battling a brush fire at Stony Brook Reservation.

Firefighters responded to the large brush fire at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday in the area of West Boundary Road,  Enneking Parkway and Turtle Pond Parkway in West Roxbury.

The fire ignited in same area as yesterday's brush fire, the Boston Fire Department said on Twitter.

As of 9:45 a.m. second alarm has been ordered to get the manpower needed to run hose into woods

During Monday's  four alarm fire, areas of the roads surrounding the Reservation were closed off and detours were in place.

Firefighters battled Monday's blaze for over four hours, applying a foam on the area of the fire, to keep the ground cool, according to the BFD's Twitter Page.
