Alleged Drug Dealer Runs from Cops - to Police Station

The Dedham man is allegedly a well-known dealer to high school students.

A one-month investigation landed a 26-year-old Dedham man in jail facing three counts of distributing drugs, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a foot chase through Dedham Square that ended in the lobby of the Dedham Police Department.

Marlon Jean-Pierre, who police said they were first tipped off to in February 2010, was arrested after allegedly selling drugs on three occasions to an undercover officer posing as a high school student since mid-November.

Jean-Pierre sold $55 worth of pot to an undercover officer on Dec. 22, according to police, and when he was confronted by officers, he took off. Jean-Pierre led officers from multiple agencies on a foot chase through Dedham Square, through and finally to the lobby of the Dedham Police Department.

Jean-Pierre told police that he ran to the High Street headquarters because he didn't want to be arrested in public, according to a police report.

Police stated Jean-Pierre sells marijuana to high school students, and they first learned of him after a student traded a wedding ring for pot in 2010.

Man Without a License Caught with Heroin, Police Say

Officer Kevin Mahoney arrested 29-year-old Robert Kolczewski, of Hyde Park, on Dec. 23 after a motor vehicle stop on Harding Terrace. Kolczewski, driving without a valid registration or license, was in possession of three small bags of heroin and syringes, according to Mahoney's report.
