2 Men Nabbed in Alleged Sears Robberies

One man allegedly stole an air mattress and the other a $500 tool seet.

John Greenwood, 45 of Jamaica Plain, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with larceny over $250 after he allegedly attempted to steal a tool set valued at $493 from , according to .

Greenwood was apprehended by the store's loss prevention officer. The store employee told police that he saw Greenwood leave the store with the tool set, and threw it when he was confronted, according to the police report.

Greenwood was transported to the station and was cooperative through the booking process, according to police.

Roslindale Suspected of Stealing Air Mattress

While Dedham Police were arresting Greenwood at Sears, a Roslindale man was allegedly seen on camera leaving the store with an air mattress without paying for it and getting into a Jeep, according to officer John Barrett.

Barrett then ran out and jumped in his police car with a loss prevention employee, who said he saw 54-year-old Jacinto Collado throw a box out the window of his Jeep.

Police pulled Collado over on Incinerator Road when it got stuck in traffic. Police charged Collado with larceny under $250.

Plaza T-Mobile Robbed of 3 Phones

Dedham Police are investigating a robbery Thursday of three phones at T-Mobile in Dedham Plaza.

Three male suspects fled the store on foot before police arrived, witnesses told police. 

Three officers searched the area around Dehdam Plaza, but couldn't locate the suspects.

Police didn't release details of the stolen phones, citing the open investigation.
