The Governor’s Council Questionnaire

District Two candidate discusses the issue.

Several weeks ago during a Governor’s Council hearing for a position on the Superior Court it became apparent that the questionnaire for nominees had been released to some members of the public.

Some members of the Governor’s Council were surprised by, since the questionnaire was usually released after the hearing.

This event was followed by news coverage, questioning why some members of the public were given the application.

Working with the Governor’s Council I have obtained copies of the Governor’s Council questionnaire for upcoming nominations.

I have redacted personal information from the questionnaire, such as home addresses, other than that the questionnaires are now available on my site, PatrickMcCabeGovernorsCouncil.com, for the next two nominees.

I applauded the Governor’s Council for continuing to move forward, making the process of vetting these lifetime nominations more open and transparent.

I will continue to work to make the process as open and transparent as possible, with the goal of sharing all information a councilor has about nominee with the public.

I believe this will lead to a stronger and more effective government.

I urge you to join me in improving our government through openness and transparency.
