URBAN RAID OBSTACLE RACE RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN BOSTON THIS SATURDAY JULY 12TH!

5K OBSTACLE COURSE STARTS AND FINISHES ON BOSTON’S CITY HALL PLAZA 

Boston, MA, July 10, 2014– Urban RAID will take over the streets of Boston for the second consecutive year this Saturday July 12th.  Hundreds of racers are expected to compete in the 5K obstacle course in the only event of its kind to take place in Downtown Boston. The race will start at 8:00 a.m. at City Hall Plaza and runners will take to the streets running through some of Boston’s most iconic landmarks including Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the waterfront Christopher Columbus Park. On course racers will contend with more than 12 custom built obstacles ranging from monkey bars, to hurdles to a 2 story cargo net climb.  The race will be followed by a post-race after party at the Hard Rock Café Boston sponsored by Shipyard Brewing Company. 

This year Urban RAID Boston will be filmed by Emmy Award winning production firm 360 Media Ventures for a dedicated television program featuring the entire 2014 RAID Series which will air on Universal Sports Network and Outside Television in the late fall 2014.

Registration is open to men and women of all fitness levels ages 16 and up through Thursday night at midnight at www.raidevents.com.  Day of registrations will also be taken on the morning of the race.  Sponsors of Urban RAID Boston include First Aid Shot Therapy, Shipyard Brewing Company, The United States Air Force, Zico Coconut Water, The Sports Authority, Faneuil Hall Marketplace and 360 Media Ventures.  The official charity partner of Urban RAID Boston is Family Reach Foundation.
