TOMORROW NIGHT!

Please share this message on your Facebook page!

IMPORTANT MEETING: TUESDAY SEPT. 10, 6:45 P.M. TOWN HALL -- PLEASE ATTEND!!!

To all past, present and future ECEC families:

We need your help!  We just found out that the Board of Selectmen is going to vote TOMORROW NIGHT on putting the question to the voters in November regarding whether or not ECEC can move to the former Dexter School.

The Selectmen need to vote YES!

The current building on Sprague Street is not an optimal facility for educating the youngest of Dedham's students.  The Dexter School is the ideal location for our town's pre-school and kindergarten children because:

-- it is ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) compliant
-- it is all on one level
-- it has working pipes (the current location often has plumbing problems    due to old pipes)
-- it has a lot of green space around it
-- it has larger classrooms
-- it has a much better configuration for drop-off and pick-up (no more Etna Road traffic jams!)

If the Selectmen vote "no", we run the risk of losing all future support of the MSBA (Mass School Building Authority) on this and any future projects in town - a potential loss of millions of dollars!

The MSBA voted several months ago to allow ECEC and only one other school in Massachusetts to enter into their eligibility period, when our school will have the opportunity to provide further evidence to the MSBA that the town wants and is ready for the school to be moved. The next crucial step in this period is allowing the taxpayers to vote in November on whether or not they want to support moving the ECEC to the Dexter.  The Selectmen, by voting YES tomorrow night, will allow the process to continue to the next stage in getting MSBA funding for the project.

PLEASE: Our Selectmen need to see that the ECEC families - past, present, and future - support their YES vote to allow this question to go to the taxpayers in November.

Please spread the word - this decision could impact generations of Dedham children!

We need as many families as possible to go to the Board of Selectmen's meeting at 6:45 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, at the Dedham Town Hall.

Thank you for your support!
