Roberta F. Bowse-Foster, Dedham Native, Dies at 55

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Road in West Brewster. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in West Harwich.

Roberta F. Bowse-Foster passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly on Feb. 7 at Cape Cod Hospital surrounded by her children and two of her siblings.

She was born on April 19, 1957, in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Rita (Barthel) Bowse and the late Robert Bowse.

She was raised in Dedham, MA and was a graduate of Dedham High School. She later attended Mass Bay Community College.

Roberta was extraordinarily dedicated to her children, and as a single parent, worked unselfishly to care for them.

She also enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading a good book, creative art projects, and playing all types of games with her children.

She is survived by two sons, Shawn & Michael, and a daughter, Deanna, all of Brewster, MA.

She is also survived by her Mother, Rita Bowse of Dennis, MA, sisters, Beverley Bowse of Midlothian, VA, Laura Kohr of Andover, MA, Donna Bowse of Dedham, MA and a brother, Ronald and his wife Theresa Bowse of Marstons Mills, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews.
