Raymond William Vaudo: Former Dedham Resident, 71

Services will be held in Dedham on Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10.

Raymond William Vaudo, of Orlando, Florida and formerly of Dedham died Friday, Jan. 3 of a long battle with heart disease, according to www.gfdoherty.com, Born in Boston on May 24, 1942 to the late Salvatore Vaudo and Bertha Millet (Vaudo).

Ray began a long career with Delta Airlines in 1971. During those many years he grew a love for the airline industry that stayed with him throughout his life. He made many friends at Delta and in all other walks of life. He traveled all over the world and had a zest for life that was shared with friends and strangers alike. He retired to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he resided for eight years and eventually to Orlando where he lived out his last days.

Ray is survived by his partner of thirteen years, Brian K. Miller. His sister Dianne (Vaudo) Brennick of Somerville, MA, Nieces; Diane M. Brennick of Somerville and Susan Brennick of North Chelmsford, as well as many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held in the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham on Friday, Jan. 10 at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday, Jan. 9 from 4-8 p.m.
