Obituary: Mrs. Mary C. (Scampoli) Silvi

Mrs. Mary C. Silvi was a graduate of Dedham High and was active at the Walpole Senior Center.

Mrs. Mary C. (Scampoli) Silvi, 96, died in the Belmont Manor Nursing Center in Belmont, on Thursday, June 13, 2013.

Born in Dedham, Jan. 31, 1917, she was the daughter of Anthony and Maria (Panetta) Scampoli. Raised in Dedham, she graduated from Dedham High School with the Class of 1935.

A resident of Walpole for the past 55 years moving here from Dedham, where she was involved in the Walpole Senior Center and the Italian American Society.

Mrs. Silvi loved arts and crafts, especially sewing , knitting, and making braided rugs.

Beloved wife of the late James Joseph Silvi, she was the loving mother of John J. Silvi and his wife Carolyn of Great Falls, VA and Jill Khederian and her husband Russ of Belmont. She was cherished grandmother of Jennifer Silvi, Kristin Khederian, Kimberly Silvi, Ashley Khederian, Sarah Khederian, and Michael Silvi, sister of the late Nicholas Scampoli, the late Louis Scampoli, the late Palma Mastrianni, the late Rose Silvestri, the late Anthony Scampoli, the late Michael Scampoli, and the late Rose Scampoli.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral that will be celebrated at Saint Joseph's Parish, 130 Common St., Belmont, on Tuesday, June 18, at 10:30 a.m.

The visiting hours are Monday, June 17, from 4-7 p.m. at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St. Walpole.
