Mr. Coffey was a resident of Dedham.

Edward M. Coffey of Dedham formerly of Jamaica Plain died peacefully surrounded by his family March 26, 2013. Retired Lt. Boston Fire Dept. Engine 43.

Beloved husband of Kathleen (Fisher) Coffey for 56 years. Devoted father of Kathleen A. Butters and her husband Robert of North Attleboro, Deborah L. Coffey of Dedham, Carolyn Temple and her husband William of South Weymouth, Edward M. Coffey of Westwood and Maryellen Ray and her husband David of Dedham. Brother of the late Dorothy Gallagher, Virginia Tardivo, Leo Coffey and Marybeth Collins. Beloved Papa of 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Former owner of Coffey Plastering of Dedham and Westwood.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham, Monday, April 1 at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Saturday, March 30 from 4-8 pm. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
