Dedham Obituary: Dorothy E. Howe

Ms. Howe was a resident of Dedham.

Dorothy E. (Woodlock) Howe, of Dedham, Mass. died March 10, 2013 following a period of declining health.

A native of Greenfield, Mass., she was born in 1924, one of four children of Frank and Jeanette (O'Brien) Woodlock.

She was educated in Greenfield Public Schools and graduated from Nasson College of Springvale, ME in the Class of 1942. Following college, Dorothy was employed as a home economics teacher in Troy, NH where she met her husband, J. Reginald Howe. Together, they raised four children in Keene, NH and moved to Port Orange, FL to enjoy retirement.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband and two sisters, Jeanette Wheeler and Carole Murphy. Survivors include her brother, Philip Woodlock of Spring Hill, FL and her devoted children: Thomas Howe and his wife, Joanne, of Thornton, NH; Deborah Howe and her husband, Daniel, of Westford, MA; Carol Brigante of Billerica, MA; and Robert Howe and his wife, Leah McKinnon-Howe, of Norwood, MA. Additionally, Dorothy leaves five loving grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood, MA on Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
