Dedham Obituary: Catherine M. Gibson

Ms. Gibson was a resident of Dedham and graduated from Dedham High School.

Catherine M. Gibson, 82, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Wednesday, February 20 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late George J. Gibson.

Born and raised in Dedham, she was a graduate of Dedham High School and LaFrance Beauty Academy in Florida.

She was a resident of Stoughton for over 40 years before moving to Middleboro 10 years ago.

Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, Bingo and especially spending time with her family.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her children, Faith Church of West Bridgewater, Mary E. Dunhill of Norton, Georgianna Nickerson of Middleboro, Melissa J. Gibson of Taunton, George J. Gibson, Jr. of Alabama and Henry F. Gibson of Westford. She was the grandmother of Brandon Dunhill, Kimberly Gibson, Erin and Cody Church, Nicole Nickerson, Leah and Abigail Gibson and great-grandmother of Dustin Dunhill and Draven Perry. She is also survived by 3 sisters, 1 brother, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Funeral was held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, Feb. 26, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton. Visiting Hours were Monday, Feb. 25.

Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
