Former Red Sox Manager "Walpole" Joe Morgan will be on a very special 10th episode of The Wicked Awesome Sports Show Thursday May 26th at 8pm LIVE on DedhamTV .
Next Thursday May 26th, my favorite Red Sox Manager of all time will be live on MY show, AGAIN, LIVE on MY show! Joe, was nice enough to join us back in 2010 for our 2nd show. I did 10 minutes with him and it was a blast, and that was in the OFFSEASON. Doing the whole show with us this time it will be FUN.
I don't know if I have to fill people in, but I will. He signed his first MLB contract in 1959 for the Boston Braves. In 1981 he managed the Pawtucket Red Sox to a win in the now famous 33 inning game. Mr. Morgan took over the 1988 Red Sox, who were struggling under John McNamara, turned them around, reeling off win after win and "Morgan's Magic" was born. Joe took the Sox to the ALCS that year.
