Staging Your Dedham Master Bedroom to Sell

Staging Your Dedham Master Bedroom to Sell

When staging your Dedham Master Bedroom to sell, it is important to "think like a Buyer". What do Buyers want? What do they dream about?

I believe that Buyers want a Master bedroom that is a retreat to get away from the stresses of work and daily life challenges. They want to think of this room as a special place to rest and clear their heads. Here are some suggestions to think about:

Paint-A soft spa like color such as in blue/gray, soft gray or green makes the room feel relaxing. One of my favorites is Tranquility by Benjamin Moore.

Keep it Simple-Remove piles of clutter and extra furniture.Take out anything that reminds you of work. That includes exercise machines as well as desks, printers ,etc.

Add Romance-Layers of bedding and pillows add a romantic touch. Keep it gender neutral and not too frilly. Add texture with throws, pillows, rugs that are soft to the touch. Ideally the bed should be the first thing that Buyers see-beautifully made up.

Create Other Relaxing Spaces- If the room is large enough, create a reading area . You can do this with a cozy chair, perhaps a throw and a book with a pair of glasses on top.

Add Fresh Flowers-Fresh flowers are a treat. Subliminally it tells the Buyers what a special place this is.

Appeal to the Senses-You may spray the sheets with lavender, a scent that appeals to both genders. Or play soft music.

The goal is to make the Buyers fall in love with the Master Bedroom and feel like this would be a great retreat for them. And the bonus is that you can enjoy this newly staged space while you are selling it:)
