TELL US: What Are Your Thoughts on the Dedham Square Improvement Project?

Residents and officials have both raised views on the project in the past week. But what do you think?

The Dedham Square Improvement Project has received quite a bit of attention in the last week. 

In , Dan O'Neil wrote that he didn't see the project as an improvement to get people to come to the square, but rather as a deterrent." 

"I have been watching this Dedham Square project unfold and as I see some of the changes, I have to beg the question . . . did any intelligent, rational thought even go into this plan?" O'Neil asked in the letter. "I want to see the shops get more business. We’re all for small business, but does anyone really think bigger sidewalks in a square that already has traffic pitfalls and back ups is the way to go?"

"The Dedham Square Improvement Project has been in the development stage for the better part of five years and during that time there has been no less than 35 public hearings on this topic," Keegan wrote. "This number of meetings is in addition to the other 40-plus meetings that were held to review designs, evaluate options and to consider quality control measures for this project."
