Strawberry Banana Shake Great On-The-Go Snack

This time of year, you can't have enough quick go-to snack recipes!

Did you know that Thursday was National High Five Day? In honor of National High Five Day, I thought I’d do a simple five-ingredient recipe.  Heck, there’s an entire show devoted to five ingredients on the Food Network. I just happened to pick up a new cookbook with... you guessed it… five ingredient recipes. Who knew there were so many?

The start of spring and summer weather coincides with a busy schedule for all of us. I’m always torn between feeding the kids before they go to their spring sports or practices or feeding them when they get home. Feeding them after means a late meal for all of us, while feeding them before means they’ll want more food by the time they get home. I’m sure I’m not alone in this dilemma! Often times I’ll settle for a hearty snack. Sometimes this comes in the form of a liquid.

Grab your blender and whip up this simple Strawberry Banana Shake that’s sure to stick by them and fuel them for their games or practices yet won’t fill them to the point of ruining their dinner. It's also great for serving at a kid's birthday party alongside cake or for family movie night!
