Five Things You Need to Know: September 7, Concerts, Movie Night, and More

Here are five things to know for Friday!!!

1. Award winning contemporary folk singer/songwriter celebrates his birthday with a concert at Paradise Cafe, 565 High Street, at 8:00 p.m.  The concert will be  featuring special guests Tom Smith, Dawn Kenney, Rebecca Lynch, Deede Bergeron and Brice Buchanan.

2. Join the , 580 High Street, for a special one time screening of Mulholland Dr. on Friday, September 7th at 11:15pm, as we begin our journey back in time through Lynch's spectacularly surreal catalog. Tickets cost $6.

3.  The is proud to present Luke Barry, Guild artist Jill Barry’s 7-year old son. As a child with autism, Luke often uses his art to communicate. Sometimes whimsical, very colorful and always expressive, a limited number of Luke’s drawings will be available for purchase during their September Artist of the Month Series: Luke Barry…Mini Artist. 100% of the proceeds from sales of Luke’s drawings will be going to CommunityAutism Resources and Luke’s Crayon Fund (to support the cost of his materials).

4. , 671 High Street, will have tai Chi Classes.  This class for Karate beginners is open to all from the age of 7 to senior citizens. Sensie John Morash is the instructor for this class.

5.  And join Dedham Patch tomorrow for the 4th annual, Fun 4 Kids.  The event will take place at the Dedham Pool Field, 1 Recreation Road.  This year's theme is "Character Day."  So stop by as your favorite character and enjoy the festivities!  Admission is $5 per person.
