Five Things You Need to Know: September 6, Free Movie Tickets, Art Shows, and More

Here are five things you need to know for Thursday!

Todays Weather: Today there will be patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. Tonight you can expect a slight chance of showers after 1am. Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 65, according to The National Weather Service.

1. Guild Member, , will be at the Dedham Square Artists Guild, 553 High Street at 5:00 p.m.  She will be working on a mosaic piece, and available to answer questions about her mosaic-work.

2. The Dedham Square Artists Guild is also thrilled to present , Guild artist Jill Barry’s 7-year old son. As a child with autism, Luke often uses his art to communicate. Sometimes whimsical, very colorful and always expressive, a limited number of Luke’s drawings will be available for purchase during our September Artist of the Month Series: Luke Barry…Mini Artist. 100% of the proceeds from sales of Luke’s drawings will be going to CommunityAutism Resources and Luke’s Crayon Fund (to support the cost of his materials).  The event will start at 12 noon.

3. Dance Explosion, 95 Eastern Avenue in Dedham, is now accepting registration for their 2012/2013 dance season at 4:00 p.m. Join them for their 31st season with classes for ages 2.5 - adult in pre-ballet, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, modern and lyric.

4. Legacy Place will be handing out FREE movie passes to see the new movie, "The Words." The showing will be tonight at 7:30 p.m.  So you will need to go to the following stores for tickets:
