Dedham Patch teamed up with the  to revive the Mayor of Dedham program this year.

Back in April we put a call out for telling us who you thought should be honored as unofficial mayor of Dedham. Following the nomination process, readers were asked to . Once the voting phase was over, the top two nominees had to get out the vote, asking friends and family for $1 per vote. The person with the most votes after a month of campaigning would win the unofficial mayor contest.

Hathaway will be riding in Thursday night's Flag Day Parade touting her new title. Dedham Patch will be there to honor both the unofficial mayor and unofficial deputy mayor at the parade's start.

While funds raised are split between the Park and Recreation Department and the winner's charity of choice, both candidates agreed in advance no matter how much is raised, half of what each candidate brought in from donations goes to their individual charity.
