5 Can't-Miss Holiday Performances in Dedham

There is plenty entertainment this year, and you can do a lot of good while taking in the sights and sounds.

Looking for a way to enjoy the holiday season in Dedham? It is that time of year for concerts, performances and many other great events that also ask you to help those in need.

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.
    Tune into and help out the as the telethon hosts many entertainers throughout the evening. All proceeds help feed hungry families in Dedham. 
  • When/Where: Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.; , West Roxbury
    Come hear a 85-voice chorus, orchestra and soloists, under the direction of Jonathan Barnhart, perform exciting and beautiful music sung in Spanish, Latin and a rare Native American dialect. 
  • When/Where: Saturday, Dec. 10 at 4:30 p.m.; Oakdale Square
    Ring in the holiday season in Oakdale with the second annual tree lighting. Enjoy hot chocolate, home-cooked treats and carolers. 
  • When/Where: Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.; Take in songs from little ones all throughout Legacy Place.

  • When/Where: Opens Dec. 9 at 8 p.m.; 
    The Pirates of Penzance spins a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major General. Be sure to check it out this month for a unique holiday treat. Be sure to check out other showtimes.
