From hiking to skating to donating blood, there is definitely something to get your juices going this weekend.

It's Thursday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Dedham Patch is coming to the rescue.

  1. L.L.Bean Outing Club Snowshoe/Hiking Excursion
    Where/When: Wilson Mountain, Common St., Dedham on Saturday at 10 a.m.
    Why Go: Come along with on a free group snowshoe/hike adventure of Wilson Mountain in Dedham, with beautiful summit views of the Blue Hills and the Boston skyline. Head over on Saturday around 9:45 a.m. and enjoy a late morning hike from 10 a.m. to noon. Call the store for more information, directions to the trailhead and to reserve your spot, 800-650-6358.

  2. Wines of Romance Tasting Event
    Where/When:  Whole Foods at Legacy Place on Friday at 5 p.m.
    Why go: Five vendors will be pouring 17 varieties of wine for your tasting. The event goes until 7 p.m. Come enjoy the first wine tasting event at Whole Foods of 2012.

  • Public Skating
    Where/When:
      Noble and Greenough School on Sunday from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
    Why go: Head to Flood Omni Rink to lace up those skates and enjoy an afternoon of cutting the ice. Bring the kids, bring a date, or just go for some casual exercise.

  • Blood Drive at Boch Ice Center
    Where/When: Boch Ice Center on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    Why go:
     The American Red Cross is holding this blood drive on East Street as the winter months always mean a need for donations. All presenting blood donors will receive a Boston Bruins T-shirt and a coupon for a free tax return at participating offices.
