Dedham Shines Utility Box Art Project

Dedham Shines Public Art Project

This is such a fun project for Dedham. Many other towns and cities have this type of program. A great way to decorate these Utility Boxes.

I drove by this box on Monday. Artist and Guild Member Sue Hoy, has been painting her assigned utility box over the last few weeks. Sue hoy is more than halfway done with her birch tree design. It is prefect for the setting and is near the Wilson Mountain Hiking Trail. The box is on route 135 and easily seen. Drive by and see it.

The Utility Box Project is a program started and managed by Dedham Shines in collaboration with the Department of Public Works, Dedham Shines invited artists to participate in the this project for 2013. Selected artists are transforming utility boxes owned by the Town of Dedham into works of art.
