The “Miniatures” came about as a “teaching tool” for me. Being a self-taught artist, I still had, STILL HAVE, things to learn . . . . . One of the biggest things I’ve learned in doing the “Minis” is a greater respect and appreciation of small, fine, liner brushes!! Many of the techniques that one can use in a large scale painting just cannot be applied to a Miniature . . . . . We have to learn to adapt! Adaptation is a part of life. It does not always mean “change” but it pushes us to “take the next step” forward . . . . . Richard Humphrey
