Oakdale Elementary holds Annual Halloween Parade …

The threat of occasional showers held off and the back field was crowded with parents, grandparents, siblings, older classmates, and teachers, as Oakdale Elementary School Principal Holli Armstrong led almost 100 boys and girls from grades 1 & 2 through the side door.

Music Teacher, Bryan Bigelow was well-prepared, and dozens of bells and assorted noise-makers were handed out to the students, as they followed Principal Armstrong – herself dressed as Disney`s Winnie the Pooh – out in to the crowd. Cheers erupted, camera`s flashed, and applause rang out as the costume-clad group made two complete laps around the field. The school`s remaining students in grades 3-5 provided all the support the younger students needed to smile, wave and show off their costumes.
