Dedham Girls U10 Team goes Undefeated in Tournament

Girls win two and tie one to best the rest.

A combined "dream team" of available girls from the Dedham Rockets
and the Dedham Bobcats Soccer Clubs was assembled by Coach Owen
Snyder to compete in this year`s 20th Anniversary Foxboro Cup Memorial
Day Soccer Tournament.

On one of the hottest days in memory, the eleven girls met early on Saturday morning (the girls teams played on Sat. - the boys teams played on Sun.) at Foxboro High School. The athletes were divided in to two groups - ages U8 and U10 played three full games against their peers from surrounding communities, while ages U10, U12, and U14 competed in a playoff format. In all, nearly 150 teams from throughout New England played for medals and trophies.

By the end of a long day, Coach Snyder`s girls won two of their matches
and tied a third, to leave them the Undefeated Champions in their bracket.
The goal scoring and defensive play of Allison Reilly, Kiley Flynn, Rose
Dacey, Meghan Sulinski, Olivia Mammone, Kyra Tolley, Caroline Kelleher,
Rochelle Casey, Courtney Warjas, Julia Snyder, and Kara Kilroy left their
opposing teams shaking their heads.

Thanks to the help of many parents, volunteers, and sponsors: Bays (Boston
Area Youth Soccer), the New England Revolution, Dick`s Sporting Goods,
Crown Trophy, Brine and many others - the annual event was a huge success.
