Five Things You Need to Know: Sept. 25 Suicide Awareness, SAT Prep, and More

Todays Weather: Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 74.  Tonight you can expect some patch fog after 5am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 56, according to The National Weather Service.

1. Bamboo Fine Asian Cuisine and Sushi Bar, 55 Ariadne Road in Dedham is teaming up with Benspeaks Organization to help bring awareness to youths about the growing trends of depression, bullying and teen suicide. Benspeaks.org will be holding a benefit night at Bamboo Fine Asian Cuisine and Sushi Restaurant tonight at 5:00 p.m.

2. Are you going to take the SATs? A practice test is crucial to ward off those Test Day jitters and to reveal how you may score on the "real thing".  Don't be surprised!!  Come to Dedham High School, 140 Whiting Ave, and experience firsthand what Test Day will be like.

Kaplan Test Prep will provide a proctored SAT practice test and will return student scores individually with personalized, analyzed results.  Please bring multiple, sharpened #2 pencils, an approved calculator and a healthy snack for the break.  Click here to find out how to register.

3. The Dedham Junior Woman's Club will be holding its next General Meeting tonight at 7:00 pm at the Endicott Estate, 656 East St. The program for this gathering commences after a short business meeting and will feature a presentation on a grand tour of Italy.

4. If you like playing trivia, or like hanging out with friends, or just like having an excuse to drink on a Tuesday night, come to Stump! Trivia at TGIFridays, 750 Providence Highway in Dedham. You can win restaurant gift cards as well as whatever truly bizarre prizes the host comes up with that night. Be it giant sunglasses, a Regis Philbin workout VHS or a two-for-one pass to Wachussett Mountains, you never know what he'll bring.  The game starts at 9:00 p.m.
