Pints for Half Pints

Sally Naser is a brave and delightful 10-year-old Dedham resident who was diagnosed in early May 2010 with a form of cancer called osteosarcoma. Sally is the daughter of Rob and Camille Naser and sister to Oliver and Evan.

Since Sally was diagnosed, she has completed one round of chemotherapy. She has endured surgery on her leg which took place in mid-August. She is now facing another round of chemotherapy.

Now she and others like her need us!

Sally has already had one transfusion of whole blood and had more during her recent surgery. She is not alone! Most children need either whole blood or platelets as part of their treatment plan. There is no other source of blood except for donated blood. And that means you!

There will be a blood drive in Sally's name to benefit Children's Hospital on Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dedham High School. Appointments are recommended. Call Elaine now at 781-249-6437 to set up a time for you.
