Community Corner

MBACC Children's Collaborative Sculpture

Come be inspired by Hungarian artist Gyöngy Laky (www.gyongylaky.com) stick
and tape sculptures and help us create our very own collaborative sculpture that will live at Mother Brook Arts & Community Center (MBACC) once it’s completed. MBACC is working with Alice Vogler, Arts Program Manager at the Boston Children’s Museum, and Faith Johnson, artist, to provide families a creative experience during Dedham Open Studios at the MBACC.

The community art project will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Sunday, May 18th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  Children of all ages are encouraged to participate and add their own personal touch to the sculpture.  This activity is free and open to the public.

The MBACC is participating in Dedham Open Studios. Resident artists will

open their studios to the public on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th.

Food trucks and live music performances will also be on-site during the

weekend.
