a Red Carpet Alzheimer's Lecture to Meet the Team

This RED CARPET EVENT will feature:
Dr. Brendon Boot, an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and a Neurologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Lecture on:
The latest results in Alzheimer's disease research. He will discuss the latest results for two antibodies - solanezumab and bapineuzumab - that target a major protein found in the brains of Alzheimer's patients.  He will outline the exciting next steps in the field, including a clinical trial where 10,000 people worldwide will be screened with biomarkers that predict Alzheimer's disease and 1,000 treated with solanezumab with the aim to prevent the onset of this terrible disease.  New treatment approaches will also be discussed, including insulin nasal sprays, vitamin E and others.  There will be a question and answer session for the audience.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Dr. Boot completed his medical training in Australia, France and Mayo Clinic before joining Brigham and Women's Hosptial and Harvard University.
