Tahiti restaurant received a stern warning from the Dedham Board of Selectmen following a fight at Tahiti's parking lot in the early morning hours of Dec. 26. The restaurant told selectmen that they will hire a police detail for four of their busiest nights this year.

The Council on Aging unveiled a rendering of what a new senior center, located on the Endicott Estate, would look like. The building would cost up to $3.5 million, COA members said, adding they hope to use little public money.

NSTAR officials got hit with a bit of backlash over their response to two storms last year. Nearly six months after Tropical Storm Irene ravaged Dedham, selectmen were able to question the utility company on their response - and their plans to fix communication problems.

DEF Doles Out Grants for Teachers

The DEF handed out more than $20,000 in grant money to local teachers, who will use the money to fund field trips and add a greater educational experience to the classroom.
