Town officials are calling for a new Dedham Police station, calling the current 1960s facility inadequate, too small and lacking security features necessary in the 21st century. Selectman Carmen Dello Iacono said he hopes to have a plan set for the 2013 Annual Town Meeting.

Candidates for all offices have until Monday afternoon to turn in signatures, if they intend to be on the town election ballot in April. As of Tuesday, there were many precincts without enough Town Meeting candidates.
