Week in Review: ECEC Move Takes Step, Politician Timilty Dies

The Dedham School Committee unanimously voted to recommend giving control of two acres at the Dexter School back to the school department. The committee had given it to the town four years ago to use as a senior center.

A second-story fire broke out on East Street this week, displacing three residents. The fire started from careless disposal of a cigarette, officials said. No one was injured in the blaze.


Dedham Middle School student Joe Borsellino sat down with Dedham Patch and discussed his involvement with a state-wide call to service.

With dozens of supporters present, the Board of Selectmen recommended the current Avery School turn into an arts center, once the new Avery opens in April.
