Town Budget Proposed With Structural Changes, Senior Athletes Honored

Town Administrator Bill Keegan presented his proposed fiscal year 2012 budget Thursday to the Board of Selectmen. In it, Keegan asked each department to slice 7.5 percent from their respective budgets in order to meet shortfalls expected in reduced local aid.

Keegan and Sarah MacDonald, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, met Monday evening with the Parks and Recreation Commission that would combine the Department of Public Works and the Parks and Recreation Department.
