A Bakery in Dedham Square?

There has been talk about the square only needing one thing, a bakery. Not sure how many of you Dedhamites remember PJ's Pastry, but it's been that long since we've had a bakery in the square. There have been rumors around town about a bakery moving into the square. After speaking with Amy Haelsen, it seems BC Bakery is still looking for alternate locations in Dedham Square, because the Cherokee Trophy location would not work. Dedham Square has interviewed a few hundred people and their market research showed that the number one most requested business to be added to the Square is a bakery. It would be a great addition to the already unique blend of independently owned shops in Dedham Square.

David Biedzrycki Visits Blue Bunny

Saturday, children's book author and illustrator David Biedzrycki, visited The Blue Bunny for a Columbus Day Weekend Book signing. David signed copies of his newest Ace Lacewing: Bug Detective book, along with several others that he illustrated with author Jerry Palotta, including The Beetle Alphabet Book, Dory Story, Underwater Counting, and more. David's detailed illustrations are exquisite, and Kirkus Reviews calls his Ace Lacewing series "sublime."

Yesterday morning, parishioners celebrated the 50th Anniversary of St. Susanna's Church with a Mass with Cardinal Sean O'Malley. The Cardinal also blessed the church's Peace Chapel.

Dedham House of Pizza Moving Out of the Square

After 20 years of business in its Dedham Square location, Dedham House of Pizza is relocating to 525 providence highway. The business owners say they are sad to even think of leaving the square, but are excited about the plans for the new place with new designs and more. Moving just around the corner, on Rte 1, behind Town Hall, customers won't have to drive to far to continue to enjoy their pizza and subs. George is excited and is playing a big part in research, market, and development of the new place. They are not releasing any more details until they are finalized, and we will keep you updated on their progress.
