Save Cash on Gas by Filling in Dedham, Staying 'Local'

"A suburban mother's role is to deliver children obstetrically once, and by car forever after." - Peter DeVries

Have you had to re-swipe your credit or debit card while filling your tank lately? If you reach $50 or $75, and you're still pumping, you know what we are talking about.

If you are anything like Frugal Family, who just can't bring ourselves to fill the tank, you stop at the closest gas station on a daily basis, and put $20 of regular gasoline in the minivan tank.

The good news (well not really good, but the "could be worse news") is prices of regular unleaded gasoline are lower in Dedham than right up the street in Needham or Norwood.

As this article is being compiled, the prices that follow for Dedham are accurate, up to date, and rather depressing.

However, at the same time that the lowest gas price in Dedham stands at $3.75 a gallon (Hess on Bridge Street and  Sunoco on Ames Street) the lowest price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Needham stands at $4.11 a gallon at a Mobil station on Great Plain Avenue. Thirty-six cents a gallon more in Needham makes a much larger dent in your wallet when you are filling up anything more than a moped.

The best way to beat the high price of gas is to keep everything we do local, right here in Dedham. Dining, shopping, entertainment, and sporting events, Dedham has great choices for all of these, and never has there been a better reason to "keep it local!"
