Resurfacing of Providence Highway/VFW Parkway Corridor Starts Today, Lane Closures Expected

The project starts today and will involve overnight lane closures.

 

The MassDOT announced that they will be repaving the Providence Highway/VFW Parkway corridor, through Dedham and Boston, starting on May 8.

The project will be done overnight and will consist of lane closures for milling, adjusting manholes and drainage structures; followed by paving operations and pavement markings, according to the MassDOT.

The project is expected to be complete during the week of May 19, weather permitting.

Contractors will be working during the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

There will also be "some off-peak daytime work to adjust drainage structures and manholes," according to the MassDot.
