Looking Ahead: New Elected Officials Take Positions, Finance Committee Votes on Square Project

Several big meetings are lined up for this week, and Dedham Patch will keep track of each of them.

The week after Dedham's town election means that several boards will chose a new chairman, and several new faces will debut on boards. Here are a few other stories we'll follow this week:

  • The Dedham Board of Selectmen are expected to vote whether to revoke liquor license at their Thursday meeting, if the Dedham Square store doesn't open before then.

  • The Finance Committee will meet Tuesday and vote on capital projects - including the Dedham Square Improvement Project and the laptop program at .

  • Town boards - including the Planning Board, Parks and Recreation Commission, School Committee and the Board of Selectmen - will vote on new chairmen for the year. 

  •  The ever-so-popular "Turn Off TV Week" begins on Saturday with events still being planned for what families can do during school vacation week.
