Looking Ahead: Capital Request Meetings, Committee Debate Avery Re-Use

Here is a preview at some of the stories Dedham Patch will follow this week.

Here is a glimpse at some of the stories Dedham Patch is working on for this week:

  • The Avery Re-Use Committee meets Monday to continue discussion on what the town should do with the . Options including tearing it down, renovating it or finding a use for it in the school's current state.
  • Several town departments will make their case for money in the town's capital budget this week and into next week. The police and fire departments will go in front of the committee on Tuesday. Requests this year total more than $25 million.
  • Be on the lookout for our daily features from Tuesday's Frugal Family to Wednesday's Moms Talk or our popular Sold! on Thursday and House Hunt on Friday.
  • has a deadline of Thursday to open, and will appear in front of the Design Review Advisory Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals this week for approval of a new sign. The Board of Selectmen set a three-week deadline for the business to open back on Feb. 17.
  • Friends of the Dedham Public Library will hold a two-day book sale on Monday and Tuesday to help raise funds for the town's two branches.
