'Jog for Jobs' Event Will Help Bring Paid Summer Internships to Dedham Youth

In 2012, Dedham was recognized as one of the “100 Best Communities for Young People” by America’s Promise Alliance. One of the reasons why Dedham earned this award was due to the tremendous support its youth receive from community organizations, businesses and individuals like you.

Today, I am asking you to help us earn this award in 2013 by further helping the youth of this town by participating in our first annual “Jog for Jobs” event.

What is “Jog for Jobs?”

The goal of “Jog for Jobs” is to gather community organizations, businesses and individuals in an effort to sponsor summer paid internships for Dedham Youth. On May 4th, we invite you to grab your co-workers, family members, kids and friends and come on down to the Dedham High School Track and jog a few laps! As you jog, we kindly ask that you make a donation to help sponsor teen internships this summer. Give a dollar! Give five! Give ten!

Please note that half of the proceeds raised at this event will be donated to ONE FUND BOSTON on behalf of the Town of Dedham.

This event will include:

• Live Music from the Dedham DJ Crew
• Free T-shirts for the first 50 participants
• A “dress for success” fashion show by the College Bound Students
• Red Sox tickets raffle! Everyone who donates will automatically be entered into a raffle for 2 Red Sox Tickets. Winner will be announced at the event at 11:15 AM

The event will take place on May 4, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dedham High School track field.
