Flag Day Parade Set for Tuesday Evening

Dedham will celebrate the 44th annual Flag Day parade Tuesday.

For the 44th time, bands, politicians, civic leaders and kids will march through the streets of Dedham in the annual .

The parade begins at the intersection of Washington and High streets at 6 p.m., and ends at .

Bands will include: the marching band, Boston Windjammers, Colonial Pipers Bagpipe Band. Other participants include the Cycling Murrays and Dedham Recreation dance. Dozens of local groups will have floats in the parade as well.

"We have a lot of bands," JuJu Mucciaccio said. "It is going to be a good parade."

The Flag Day Committee has raised $13,500 thus far, with a goal of $15,000, but Muccaccio expected to meet the goal from collections taken up along the parade route.
