Members of Boston Night of Worship, a movement where thousands of people from Boston, New England, and across the world gather to worship, stopped into Mocha Java today. They were coming from a pre-rally at Boston Trinity Academy in Hyde Park.

Before they left, several of their members gave a sample of what they were made of with an acapella version of "Hosanna." The voices of Lukus Simari, Micah Simari, Juan Berrios, Sorines Lopez, Jesica Castaneda, Lucas Dougherty and Jerson Perez brought the attention of passersby and allowed you to hear how passionate they are about what they do.

Peter Reynolds Autographs Books for State Secretary

Author Peter Reynolds, who was part of the private-public initiative to garner a grant for Dedham Square, autographed a pair of children's books for Gregory Bialecki, secretary of the state's Housing and Economic Development Department. Bialecki was on hand to make the formal announcement of the MassWorks grant the town had put in years worth of work to receive.

That's right, the Dedham Farmers Market, located in the permit parking lot across from Citizens Bank, is once again nearing its end. Today is one of the two Wednesdays it has left. Be sure you go out and support your local farmers and get your fresh fruit and vegetables before its too late.

Wicked Close

Legacy Place's newest restaurant, Wicked Fire Kissed Pizza, is getting closer to its November grand opening. A pernament sign is up on the front of the restaurant and work continues inside. Along with Wicked Fire, Buca di Beppo is expected to open soon across the street from Legacy Place, where Vinny T's used to reside.

The Zoning Board of Appeals has a busy agenda set for tonight's 7 p.m. meeting at Town Hall. The public is invited to speak on any of these issues:

  • Joseph Mancuso, 99 Hooper Rd., looking to build 2-family home and use 10,000 square feet instead of 11,000 square feet 
  • Sovereign Bank, 945 Providence Hwy., looking for a drive through permit 
  • Special Permit for permanent trailers at Avery , Riverdale and Capen schools to house landscaping equipment 
  • Dedham House of Pizza and Schiavo Enterprises, seeking a special permit to run pizza restaurant, modifying parking requirement 
  • Anis Lahiani, East Dedham Gas, 37 Milton St., looking for permit to change gas station store into service bay 
  • Giuseppe Musto, Marcella Musto, Petruzziello Plaza, 29 Bryant St. seeking a permit for 1,147-square-foot delicatessen with seating for eight and change of parking requirements to 35 parking spaces 
  • Whole Foods Market, 300 Legacy Pl., looking for a permit to have two trailers in back during holiday season
