Civic Group Summit Slated for Tonight

Welcome to "About Town," a new column that will keep you up to the minute with what's what, who's who and what the town's talking about. Check in often, because we will be updating often. And if you see or hear something we could use here, let us know.

A civic group summit meeting of all civic groups in town, at the Endicott Estate will take place at 7 p.m. tonight. This includes Mother Brook Community Group, Dedham Square Circle, Oakdale Square Alliance, and Manor Neighborhood Group.

All groups will be sharing information about themselves, recent goals and/or accomplishments and future projects that we may be able to collaborate on or support each other efforts.

They are happy to be staying in Dedham, and in the words of Judi, "Living in the village". She also said they are, "Empty nesters making their way to a cozy spot in the village."

Rain Slowing Traffic

It seemed as if people were afraid to come out today with the rain. Several passersby said they wished it would stop raining, while few others were excited and happy because their grass and the new seeds they put down were getting the proper treatment.

All around town the streets seemed to be bare with few cars, and not a lot of people walking around. The weather may be good for grass, but for store owners, business is sure to be down.
